Acts Chapter 6 introduces us to the office of the deacon. Deacons come from the assembly, they should be knowledgeable in not only the specifics of scripture but the doctrine that scripture teaches. They should also be filled with the Spirit and with wisdom. The should live the life the bible demands. This should describe the life of the student or disciple of Jesus as well.
